Alarm Monitoring
Have you ever heard an alarm bell ringing? - what did you do? Most likely you did what most other people do - assume that someone else is responding and walk straight past! Is that what you want for your alarm system? Hardly!
The present high level of crime means that it has never been more important to protect your premises. Now, more than ever, you need effective and reliable methods of deterring and detecting intruders.
An effective and prompt response to an Alarm Activation is vital if you require the best security. A monitored Alarm System guarantees that the Police and/or your key holders are contacted should an activation occur.
In respect of this we have 4 different monitoring options from which you can choose from. They vary depending upon the level of security that you require:
Digital Communicator
The digital communicator is an add-on device that connects to your phone line, and
sends alarm signals to an Alarm Receiving Centre, or ARC as it is known.
Anyone can have a digital communicator, and you should do so as a minimum, to give at
least basic protection! Any telephone line can be used, and any service provider too.
It must be noted that the line is not continually monitored and will not report to the
ARC in the event of the telephone line being cut.
The more secure alternatives for alarm monitoring include Redcare, Redcare GSM and Dual Com.
BT Redcare
BT Redcare provides continual monitoring of your premises through a BT line.
This line is continually monitored and in the event of the telephone line being cut the ARC
will be notified.
BT Redcare GSM
BT Redcare GSM provides continual monitoring of your premises through a BT Line as
with BT Redcare.
BT Redcare GSM will not only send a signal to the ARC in the event of the telephone line
being cut, but it will also continue to send wireless alarm signals following the line
being cut via the GSM network, sending any subsequent alarms to the ARC.
Dual Com
Dual Com provides the same level of dual-path monitoring as with Redcare GSM,
however, Dual Com offers you greater benefits.
Dual Com does not require a separate dedicated BT telephone line since it operates on
all U.K. telephone networks.
Dual Com is recommended by leading UK insurance companies and it is the only
signalling device that doesn't require a special version to work over ADSL (Broadband) or
ISDN.
Not only that, EFT Systems Ltd are able to offer Dual Com to our customers at the same
price as BT Redcare, giving you a better and more secure service for the same cost.
